I develop and maintain a wide range of software applications in support of Duke University Libraries' collections and services. My work primarily supports the discovery and access of library resources. I am one of the primary architects of the various platforms used at Duke to curate and present digitized collections, archival materials, and open access versions of scholarly output from the Duke community. My other major responsibilities include development for the library's catalog for books and media, the library website, the Duke Digital Repository, and the Duke Research Data Repository.
My experience and professional interests extend beyond software development. I’m well-versed in user interface design and evaluation, graphic design, information architecture, and web accessibility. I strive to work collaboratively to find innovative solutions to challenging problems.
I have worked at Duke Libraries since 2002. I have a Master of Science degree in Information Science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (’07), and a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration (Management Information Systems concentration) from the State University of New York - College at Fredonia (’01).
