Meghan Lyon

Meghan Lyon is the Head of Technical Services, which is the unit that receives, accessions, arranges, boxes, catalogs, describes, and barcodes all of the archival and rare materials for the Rubenstein Library. This unit includes rare book catalogers; archivists; format specialists for audiovisual, photographs, and electronic records; and special collections metadata experts.

Meghan's subject expertise lies in Southern United States history, but she enjoys working with nearly every topic that Rubenstein collects. She is especially interested in hidden or under-described stories of historically marginalized people and communities, which are often documented in some of the library's oldest (or longest-held) collections.
