Kelley Lawton

Head, East Campus Libraries

In 1992, I came to the Duke Libraries as an intern in the Perkins Research Services Department. Since that time, I held a variety of librarian positions before assuming my current role as the Head of East Campus Libraries (Lilly and Music). In my position, I work closely with the wonderful East Campus Libraries team to deliver stellar service and research support to our users. My work is very public services focused, and I enjoy managing projects and initiatives; planning and conducting assessment activities; planning and participating in outreach programming; and developing partnerships throughout the campus community. As East Campus is the home for first-year students, I am particularly excited about working with the newest members of the Duke community. I have a BA in History from Meredith College, an MA in Archival Management from N.C. State, and a Masters in Library Science from UNC-Chapel Hill.
