Brandon Britt
Access Services Librarian
I am a librarian because I firmly believe that people's lives are directly impacted by the information to which they have access. So much so that access is in my job title now. Previously, I have explored this passion in public libraries as public relations professional, event planner, library assistant, adult services librarian, and branch manager. In academic libraries I have served in reference, research and outreach capacities.
At Duke, I am thrilled to be exploring this as it relates to shaping services for a bustling institution and serving in ways that help shape organizational culture.
I received my B.A. in Communications from Claflin University in 2014 and my Master of Library and Information Science from the University of South Carolina in 2018. I am thinking very deeply about whether I want to pursue further formal education.
In managing how the University connects to services, spaces and materials at Perkins, I supervise and work alongside brilliant minds who ensure that we are ready to deliver. They are Annette Tillery, Sonya Hinsdale, Tzvetan Benov and Alex Konecky. My direct leader is Andrea Loigman.
Always happy to have a conversation about how I can help.
